ICCA RECORD BROKEN: 1 076 already registered attendees
From 2nd to 3rd October, another site inspection for the ICCA association was held. The aim of the meeting was to finalize the details of the 56th ICCA Congress that will be held soon in Prague (from 12th to 15th November 2017).
Václav Havel Airport Prague Conquers Another Record
Václav Havel Airport Prague has experienced the three strongest summer months in terms of operations, handling record 4,912,087 passengers from June to August 2017, with most of flights headed to Moscow, Paris, London and Amsterdam. Thanks to the season, a significant year-on-year growth was experienced by Antalya and Burgas, popular holiday destinations, while travellers from Prague also shown increased interest in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Prague Airport Receives World Routes Marketing Award Once Again
Prague Airport won the category of airports handling 4 – 20 million passengers a year at the World Routes international conference, hosted in Barcelona from 23 to 26 September 2017. The airport has won in the competition of all airports in the same category for the second time in its history. Attending the largest gathering of air carriers and airports in the world, airline representatives recognised the quality of co-operation with the Prague's airport upon the development of new routes and in terms of marketing support.
TABLE MAPPING AT THE PORSCHE PANAMERA SPORT TURISMO LAUNCH
17.8.2017 a new Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo was launched at Forum Karlín in Prague and Quix event couldn’t be missed. A luxury evening accompanied by artistic pieces and modern hip hop orchestra we had the chance to see from a position of technical provider. The benefits of the new car we presented by an original table mapping projected on 35 round tables. In total, we created 6 minutes of unique data (2 minutes before each dish) to present the new Porsche car.
Prague Congress Center presents the new exhibition hall and Pankrác Square
The International Architectural and Urban Competition of the New PCC has its winner and the public knows the winning design. The subject of the competition was the completion of a new exhibition hall for the Prague Congress Center and its surrounding area. Today, the public knows the names of the winners and the form of the winning design.
We Organized Fam Trip for UK Buyers
Prague Convention Bureau organized a fam trip for 10 UK buyers between 31st August and 2nd September. Prague Convention Bureau together with our members and partners prepared a varied programme which included site visits of hotels and venues and wide-range of incentive activities – glass painting at the Manto Gallery, sightseeing boat cruise on the Vltava river, graffiti workshop at the Lennon Wall, old-timer car ride and many other.
The City of Prague declares Grants in the Field of Convention Tourism for 2018
Grants are designated exclusively for supporting convention tourism within the City of Prague. Grants may only be awarded for conventions of 700 or more attendees who are to spend at least two nights in Prague and 60% of whom are from abroad.
Czech Airlines transport results for H1 2017: +22% passengers with average seat load factor of 81%
In the first six months of this year, Czech Airlines transported on its regular scheduled routes a total of 1.174 million passengers, which represents a year-on-year improvement of nearly 22%, as the carrier transported a total of 963 thousand passengers during the same period of the previous year. Czech Airlines was also able to keep its aircraft fuller. In the first half of the year, the average load factor reached 81%, which is a year-on-year improved result of 11%.
