Prague to Have More Frequencies to Shanghai and New Long-Haul Connection to China with Xi’an Route
China Eastern Airlines, a Chinese air carrier, has launched ticket sales for its new route which will connect Václav Havel Airport Prague with Xi’an in central China. Xi’an will become the fourth Chinese destination, alongside Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu, with a direct scheduled connection from/to Václav Havel Airport Prague. The first flight to the new destination is planned for Sunday, 29 October 2017. The carrier will also increase the number of its connections to Shanghai from the current three to four weekly services.
Prague to Have Another Connection with London in October
British Airways announced the launch of its new Prague – London City route effective the start of the winter schedule, with flights operated by the carrier’s daughter company, BA CityFlyer. Prague will thus have a connection with all six international airports in London (i.e. Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, City, Southend) from the launch of operations on the route.
Prague to Gain New Long-Haul Connection This Year Thanks to Doha, Qatar Route
Qatar Airways announced an early launch of operations of its direct scheduled connection between Prague and Doha, the capital of Qatar. The carrier originally planned to launch the service during the 2018 summer season, but the first flight on the route will happen this year, on Monday, 21 August 2017. The route will then be operated on a daily basis. This is the result of intensive negotiations between the carrier and Prague Airport representatives carried out all last year.

Green: The Colour of Future Meetings
On Wednesday, 24th May, the 6th International Educational Seminar of Prague Convention Bureau focused on “green” meetings took place at the Prague Congress Centre. Participants were introduced to presentations of case studies of the green cities, and also of the new trends in reconstruction works or in creating plans of new buildings. As a part of the Prague Convention Center’s technical facility reconstruction project introduction, the attendees could also see the newly built technical background of the building.
