Josef Votoček Named Executive Chef at NH Collection Prague Carlo IV Hotel
We are pleased to announce that Josef Votoček, whose wide experience and passion for culinary art promise a new era for hotel gastronomy, has become the new Executive chef of the NH Collection Prague Carlo IV hotel.
Josef brings with him extensive experience from prestigious restaurants and hotel operations. A significant milestone in his career was his tenure at La Degustation Bohême Bourgeoise, where he gained valuable experience during its Michelin-starred period. This period taught him to work with precision, creativity and innovative techniques, which he is already applying at NH Collection Prague Carlo IV. Another important experience was his internship at the prestigious two-star Michelin restaurant "AOC" in Denmark, where he deepened his fine dining skills and improved his approach to seasonal and local ingredients. Josef's organizational and team skills also developed significantly during his five-year tenure at the Prague Marriott Hotel, where he served as sous-chef, participated in the creation of the a la carte menu and demonstrated his ability to manage a large team and deliver exceptional quality.
In his new role as Executive Chef at NH Collection Prague Carlo IV, Josef Votoček will lead all the gastronomic operations including 1890 Restaurant & Bar, The Vault and the banquet operation, which offers services for up to 300 people. Josef also wants to focus on modernizing the local cuisine using innovative techniques, premium ingredients and a responsible commitment to a zero-waste cooking strategy. Guests will be able to enjoy the new menu from his kitchen from December 2024, and can also look forward to a festive menu and New Year's Eve party under his direction.
