Vyšehrad 2000 Catering Celebrated 30th Anniversary

Vyšehrad 2000, founded in 1994 by Jaroslav Novák and his colleagues, has roots in a family tradition of running hospitality businesses.

After the revolution, Novák gained experience in the USA, which helped him understand modern gastronomic trends. Upon returning to the Czech Republic, he took advantage of new business opportunities and, together with his partners, opened a venue in the historic center of Prague. Due to high demand and growing interest in quality gastronomy, the company quickly expanded—acquiring a café in the Municipal House, the Loreta restaurant, and other prestigious establishments, including the Botanika complex in Horní Bezděkov.

Despite facing crises, such as the loss of key partners and the COVID-19 pandemic, Vyšehrad 2000 managed to survive and strengthen its position. The pandemic even brought new opportunities, such as expanding operations in the Municipal House. Today, the company runs several major restaurants, pubs, bars, and catering services and is planning further development, including involvement in the reconstruction of the Industrial Palace at Výstaviště Praha (Prague Exhibition Grounds). Novák emphasizes the importance of investing wisely, managing finances effectively, and maintaining a strong team, which he sees as the key to success in the gastronomy industry.
