OUR STORY

Our story begins with an expression of prosperity.  In 1916, the Association of Sugar Manufacturers built a monumental Sugar Palace in the center of Prague on a Haymarket square to emphasize their influence on one of the world's most robust economies. The magical spot also houses one of Prague's oldest towers. Prague is called a city of 100 spires and Henry's Bell Tower is one of them. Adjacent directly to the Sugar Palace, together they create a majestic landmark.

ZEM RESTAURANT

Inspired by the earth (zem), which provides the nourishment for flora and fauna, celebrated through the art of cooking, ZEM is the connection between nature and the creativity of our chefs. Local ingredients coming from Moravia and Bohemia are crafted into modern versions of Czech comfort food through the art of bistronomy, using high-quality ingredients and natural flavors. Our menu also honors the influences of authentic Japanese meat dishes and handmade dumplings from our steamers. We encourage you to taste delectable authentic reimaged dishes from over here (Moravia and Bohemia) and from over there, Japanese food. Enjoy them with Czech and Japanese beers on tap, a selection of Moravian and South American wines, or beautifully balanced signature cocktails with an exclusive range of sake, Shochu Japanese whiskies.
