Zdeněk Kovařík is the new director of the Holiday Inn Prague Congress Centre
Zdeněk Kovařík has taken over the management of the Holiday Inn Prague Congress Centre since 1st December 2017. Mr. Kovařík has many years of experience in managing hotel teams not only from the Czech Republic but also from abroad. His last employer was the Orea Hotels, where he worked as a general manager of Orea Hotel Voroněž in Brno, Orea Hotel Pyramida in Prague and Orea Spa Hotel Palace Zvon in Mariánské Lázně.
Václav Havel Airport Prague Reached Historic Milestone when handled 15 Million Passengers
Close after midnight on 21st December, Prague Airport reached the 15 million serviced passengers milestone which is the greatest number in 80-year-long history. The largest airport in the Czech Republic has thus beat the year-old record from December 2016 when announced the 13 millionth serviced passenger. In terms of operations, all year has been a record year at Prague Airport.

Prague Airport Meets Its Five-Year Climate and Environmental Protection Goal
Prague Airport has managed to meet the goal of continuously reducing its carbon footprint with the target of getting 9% below the 2009 figures, which the airport set for itself in 2012. For its measurable results and attempts to engage airport business partners in joint efforts to lower the amount of greenhouse gasses generated by their operations, Prague Airport was awarded an Airport Carbon Accreditation Level 3 Certificate.

Czech Airlines and Ukraine International Airlines to offer 12 return flights a week on the route Prague - Kyiv
Czech Airlines and Ukraine International Airlines have agreed on business co-operation. Effective 6 November 2017, the carriers will codeshare all regular scheduled flights operated by both airlines between Prague and Kyiv. Customers will thus enjoy a greater selection of flights and better connections between the capitals of the Czech Republic and Ukraine. The carriers will now offer up to 12 return flights a week on the route, i.e. two flights a day except on Wednesdays and Saturdays when one connection will be operated.
Prague Welcomed a Record Number of Experts from the Meeting Industry
A total of 1,264 meeting industry experts from 79 countries met in Prague at the 56th Congress of the International Congress and Convention Association – ICCA, from 12 to 15 November. The event was organized by the Prague Convention Bureau with the support of more than 40 local partners. The aim of the congress was the exchange of the latest knowledge and trends in the industry. Prague thus had a unique opportunity to present its meeting infrastructure to the professional meeting organizers, representatives of international associations and other professional organizations from around the world. In the years to come, revenues from events organized as a result of the delegates’ direct experience could reach up to several billion Czech crowns.
Congresses Held in Prague Bring Annually up to 200 Million Euro to Public Budgets
Meeting industry in Prague, which is an industry associated with organizing congresses, conferences, corporate meetings and incentive events, generates in multiplication an annual income of between 170 and 200 million Euro to public budgets. According to the new KPMG study prepared for the Prague Convention Bureau, only 3,9% - between 6.5 and 7.5 million Euro of the sum - will return to Prague's budget.
