Fashion Arena Prague Outlet Hotelier Competition 2018 Winners‘ Names Announced

On Friday 7 December, an informal award ceremony for the winners of the Hotelier Competition 2018 took place at the Fashion Arena Prague Outlet. 190 prestigious Prague hotels - almost double the previous year - competed in two categories. Six of them received vouchers for fashion shopping. This year, the first time in the competition history, a prize for individuals was awarded to Yevheniya Smetana from the King David Hotel. She won a shopping weekend in Lisbon for 2 persons.

Fashion Arena Prague Outlet Center is a traditional organizer of this foreign visitors acquisition competition for Prague hotels. Hotels compete in the categories defined by their bed capacity. This year's golden rungs were occupied by the Grandior Hotel Prague and Royal Court Hotel who won the grand prize of a shopping voucher worth CZK 30,000. The CZK 17,000 vouchers were handed over to Hilton Prague and King David hotels on the silver rungs, and the bronze Corinthia Hotel Prague and Hotel Svornost received vouchers worth CZK 13,000.

The Fashion Arena Prague Outlet also offered the hotel staff attending the ceremony an opportunity to enjoy the individual care and professional treatment they provide their clients every day. Services of the China Liangtse Wellness masseur, The Cosmetic Store Company‘s make-up artist and a barber from Eddie's Barber's leading barber shop in Prague were prepared for the participants.

Foreign clients account for almost 30% of the total number of visitors to Fashion Arena Prague Outlet. Some of them visit the outlet centre following the recommendation on one of the social networks, others follow the information from the hotel staff. According to an internal survey, the largest purchases are made by individual customers who receive the recommendation from the hotel staff - in contrast to group tours. Due to the high number of foreign clients and their needs, the outlet centre adapts its services, offering visitors, apart from the standard VAT refund directly at the information centre, a chill-out lounge and a new contemplation room.

"At this informal and friendly meeting, we want to thank our partners from the Prague hotels for their excellent cooperation and remind them again about how high the standard of our centre services is. Moreover, two-way feedback is a mutual enrichment for us. At meetings of this type, we can ask our partners if and how our foreign customers have been satisfied with our centre. Comparisons with the market of their home country are very often significantly valuable. Our common goal is to satisfy the visitors so that they have the best reasons to return, "says Lenka Čapková, director of the Fashion Arena Prague Outlet, adding, "given the increasing interest of hotels to participate in the contest, we have decided to hold it more often than only once a year, and run it every three months. A new, more attractive concept of the competition will be introduced after the New Year. "
