Hotel Olšanka Completed Refurbishment of its Interior

Hotel Olšanka at Žižkov, Prague, one of the traditional hotel brands of the Czech capital, underwent a major reconstruction of its interior in recent months.

"We have completed the final phase of the extensive reconstruction of the hotel interior. This process followed the successful past years, when we were able to meet the needs of approximately 150 thousand guests each year, and it is our regular customers, who make up a large part of the overall group, and who we intend to reward with the hotel interior renovation. Another stimulus is the growing hotel market in Prague, where we strive to maintain high competitiveness," says Martin Gerstman, the hotel´s Director.

Construction works, completed at the beginning of this year, included the complete reconstruction of all 252 hotel rooms, which, when counting the family rooms in, amount to a total of 330 bedrooms. The lobby area also received a new coat, complete removal of floor and ceiling coverings, replaced with a special Barrisol finish, column cladding, installation of lighting and complete replacement of the bar furniture. Finally, the Congress Hall, underwent a major remodelling which included interior building works to improve acoustics, installation of new technology equipment and air conditioning, complete replacement of furniture, and installation of several design elements to revitalize the whole room.

The whole project already includes the newly-built Wellness Center, opened in November 2017. The Wellness Center, which was originally built on the site of an older Finnish sauna, offers relaxation in 5 saunas, a jacuzzi, a cooling pool and a sauna bar with a large a relaxation area. All the facilities are in the indoor and outdoor areas right in the hotel building.

"Our endeavor was to enlarge our already extensive range of services for our guests, and we managed to accomplish it by completing the reconstruction of our hotel rooms, the lobby area, the Congress Hall and the construction of the Wellness Center. Therefore, we decided to rename the hotel to Congress & Wellness Hotel Olšanka SUPERIOR effective since the 1st of November. We believe that a combination of wellness services with a modern congress center and refurbished room, will be more attractive when acquiring clients, and will strengthen our position with the existing clientele," adds Martin Gerstman.
