Prague Airport recorded about 355,000 passengers more in H1 than in the same period of 2015

Prague Airport handled 5,588,971 passengers in the first half of 2016. It is about 355,000 more than in the same period of the last year.

The biggest number of passengers was handled on June 30 - 49,859.Among the countries with the largest increase in the number of travelers to/from Prague are Great Britain, the Netherlands, Spain, France and Israel. Top destinations in terms of growth in the number of passengers are London airports (Gatwick, Stansted, Heathrow), Amsterdam, Tel Aviv, Dubai and Helsinki.

A significant annual increase was also seen in the area of cargo transportation. Over 33,000 tons of cargo were transported in the first half of the year, which is about 42,6% more than in the same period last year.
