Rapid progress in veterinary diagnostics is discussed in Prague

Hosted by the State Veterinary Institute in Jihlava, Czech Republic and organisationally secured by C-IN, the 4th Congress of the European Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (EAVLD 2016) takes place from the 6th until 9th of November, 2016 in the Clarion Congress Hotel Prague. EAVLD brings together professionals with the mission of improving veterinary and public health by providing a platform for communication among veterinary laboratory diagnosticians.

With its 1st EAVLD Congress being held in Holland in 2010, the European Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (EAVLD) is a relatively new association in the European area. As a professional forum, EAVLD promotes the highest standards in European veterinary laboratories.

The EAVLD 2016 is expecting 300 veterinary diagnosticians along with a healthy exhibition. The scope of the congress varies from diagnostic methods of infectious and non-infectious animal diseases (BSE) through biosafety and biosecurity in veterinary laboratories to laboratory management, automation, robotization and infrastructure.

“Keynote lectures lead by the eminent European scientists focus on modern methods, which have been recently only used in academic research and over the past few years have rapidly found use in human diagnostics and consequently in veterinary diagnostics,” says Pavel Vodrážka from the LOC of EAVLD 2016.

Full PCO services including the scientific and social program and sponsorship management are secured by C-IN, who has been busy extending its cooperation within the veterinary community. Following EAVLD 2016, C-IN will be participating also in the European Symposium of Porcine Health Management (ESPHM 2017).
