Responsible Living Hotels – Occidental Praha

Barceló Hotel Group continues with the implementation of the Responsible Living Hotels project, whose mission is to make our Occidental Hotels & Resorts conscious travel claim brand, offering our customers responsible hotel stays committed with sustainability.

Occidental Praha Hotel is proud of being part of this project. There will be implemented 55 measures directed to improve energy efficiency, the responsible consumption, disposal of single-use plastics, waste management, a new uniform made of recycled fabric, the environment enhancement and the contribution to the local economy, as well as the awareness and commitment of the teams and our clients. Some measures have been already implemented into a daily routine like plastic and paper reduction, water and energy-saving programs, waste segregation or e.g. local supplier preferences.

Barceló has 250 hotels with 55.000 rooms in 22 countries. The beginnings of the family hotel company are in 1931. The company, which started with passenger transport, became one of the largest hotel chains within ninety years thanks to the work of three generations of the Barceló family. The region of the Czech Republic includes three Prague hotels Occidental Praha, Occidental Praha Five, Occidental Praha Wilson and one hotel in South Moravia Barceló Brno Palace.
