The 51st Congress of the European Society for Surgical Research took place in Prague

The 51st Congress of the European Society for Surgical Research took place at the Corinthia Hotel in Prague from May 25th to 28th, 2016. The organization of the event was handled by GUARANT International. The Congress President was Ass. Prof. Jiri Fronek, Ph.D., FRCS. The congress was coordinated by project manager Lucie Prichystalova and her professional team.

The ESSR’s main objective is to encourage both the development and expansion of high-quality, basic and clinical surgical research activity and also to promote education in this area, particularly for young physicians and scientists.

The 2016 ESSR Congress was organized as a professional event for physicians working in the field of surgery. The four-day event was attended by more than 350 experts from across Europe and they mainly discussed developments and new trends in surgery. Most delegates came from the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic and Japan.
