Education Seminar for Congress Ambassadors of the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague
Prague Convention Bureau followed up on its previous educational activities for potential congress ambassadors. Education seminar titled “The Organization of International Congresses and Conferences in Prague” took place this time at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague (Vysoká škola chemicko-technologická - VŠCHT).
Education seminar organized in cooperation with the Rector of the University, prof. Dr. RNDr. Pavel Matějka, was held on Friday, November 10. Apart from the Rector, nine participants attended the event and four other were interested in one-to-one meetings with Prague Convention Bureau.
Roman Muška, Managing Director at Prague Convention Bureau, together with Michaela Smetanová and Lucie Řeháková who are responsible for the Ambassador Program of the Prague Convention Bureau, presented support the City of Prague provides for expert congresses and conferences and outlined the scope of work of professional event organizers to the attendees. Prof. Matějka, who will be President of the 2029 Congress, together with Michaela Smetanová then presented a case study of the candidacy for the 52nd IUPAC World Chemistry Congress that will be held in 2029 in Prague. The success was accomplished thanks to the joint efforts of the Prague Convention Bureau, Czech Chemical Society, Slovak Chemical Society, and C-IN agency.
The Prague Convention Bureau Ambassador Program has been offering support to congress ambassadors since 2010. The strategic program is aimed at supporting local representatives of international expert associations in Prague and the Czech Republic who engage in activities of international association meetings’ committees: scientific, programming or organizing.
