Prague Convention Bureau Members Collected First Prizes in the Czech Hotel Awards Competition
The Hotel of the Year 2022 title was awarded to Congress & Wellness Hotel Olšanka, Corinthia Hotel Praha, Occidental Praha, Vienna House Diplomat Prague and Clarion Congress Hotel Praha in three different competition categories.
On the last day of April this year, the names of the winners of the Czech Hotel Awards 2022 national competition were announced. The competition focuses on mapping of the hotels popularity and the awards result from the popular voting on the Czech Hotel Awards website.
The title Hotel of the Year is always awarded in 5 different hotel categories for each region individually and, in case of Prague, for individual capital city districts.
Occidental Praha hotel with a capacity of 230 rooms, a conference centre for 400 participants and 80 parking spaces won two awards in the 11th edition of the competition – in Prague 4 it won the first prize in the 4* category, and it also won in the category of congress hotels. The hotel is part of the international Barceló hotel group based in Spain and a long-time member of the Prague Convention Bureau.
Among the members of the Prague Convention Bureau, several hotels occupied the wining positions in the competition: two awards in the same categories as Occidental Praha - 4* and congress hotels - were won by the Clarion Congress Hotel Prague in Prague 9. Another member of the Prague Convention Bureau scored in Prague 4: Corinthia Hotel Prague ranked first in the category of 5* hotels. In the wellness & spa category, Congress & Wellness Hotel Olšanka Superior in Prague 3 and Vienna House Diplomat Prague in Prague 6 won. PCB members thus took home a total of 7 first prizes from the competition.
The numerous representation of the Prague Convention Bureau member hotels among the ranks of first-prize winners in the Czech Hotel Awards can thus be considered as a confirmation of the satisfaction and popularity of these hotels among customers; and the greater are the value and commitment for the future, which these victories represent for us.
