Celebrating RunCzech 25th Anniversary and Hilton Worldwide 100th Anniversary

100 years ago, Conrad Hilton bought his first hotel, the Mobley Hotel in Texas. Today, Hilton Worldwide operates 5 700 hotels in 113 countries around the world. 25 years ago, Carlo Capalbo founded Prague International Marathon, today´s RunCzech. 958 runners participated in the first race and more than 1 100 000 runners have been running with RunCzech since 1995. Hilton Hotels in Prague are the official RunCzech hospitality partner for over 20 years.

We Organized Education Seminar for New Congress Ambassadors

Prague Convention Bureau held one of its seminars for new congress ambassadors. The seminar on “How to run a candidacy for international expert congresses” was held on 14 May under the auspices of the Rector of Charles University, prof. MUDr. Tomas Zima, DrSc., MBA in the Carolinum building.

Prague Airport and Sichuan Airlines Have Agreed on a New Route to Shenzhen

Prague Airport has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Sichuan Airlines. The outcome of the agreement is the opening of a new direct flight between Shenzhen and Prague.

7th Meeting of the EASD Study Group on the Genetics of Diabetes (EASD-SGGD)

A scientific meeting of extraordinary importmance will take place in the complex of lecture halls of the Hospital in Motol from 16.-18. May 2019 - the 7th Symposium of the Study Group on the Genetic of Diabetes (SGGD), which is part of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD).

Prague Hosted Record Number of Meetings Last Year and Remains in the World’s Top Ten Most Popular Meeting Destinations

Prague hosted a record number of conferences and congresses in 2018. Over 4,500 events took place in its collective accommodation establishments last year – that is more than a third of all events held in the Czech Republic. The Czech metropolis welcomed almost 540,000 delegates from all over the world. At the same time, Prague occupied the ninth position in the international ranking of the most popular meeting destinations this year.

Prague Convention Bureau’s Ambassador Program Welcomed Two New Patrons

Ambassador Program is a strategic program focused on a promotion of Congress Ambassadors – local representatives of international professional associations in Prague and the Czech Republic. The initiative was established by Prague Convention Bureau in 2010 and, among others, it offers various educational and social events to support Congress Ambassadors in their effort to bring international conferences to the destination.

Prague OREA Hotel Pyramida Presents Newly Refurbished Guests‘ Rooms and Restaurant

At the end of March, after two months of reconstruction work, the OREA Hotel Pyramida opened completely reconstructed rooms for its guests on the eighth and ninth floor and, in particular, the hotel restaurant, which is now called Nebula.

Last week, Prague Airport representatives signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bamboo Airways to collaborate on the development of a direct flight and increased tourism between the Czech Republic and Vietnam.
