Václav Havel Airport Prague Handles 13 Millionth Passenger
Václav Havel Airport Prague has set a record. Towards the end of the year, the airport exceeded the 13 million serviced passengers mark. The record was set on 30 December 2016 shortly after 9 a.m. Jan Kohoutek, returning to Prague with his fiancée from Istanbul, became the 13 millionth handled passenger of 2016.

Their present share of the overall number of passengers is over 35%.
Waxwork museum Grévin Prague launches mobile app
Grévin Prague, the most entertaining waxwork museum, launches a pilot phase of its new mobile app which will offer visitors a new level of experience and entertainment. In the Grévin Prague mobile app, which uses the iBeacon technology, the waxwork figurines literally come to life, tell their stories and reveal more of their secrets. Bertie, a virtual guide who was dubbed by actor and musician Jan Maxián, will take you on a tour of the museum worlds. Jan Maxián also inaugurated the app on a press conference held on 6 December 2016 on Celetná St. 15.
New KCP - Prague Congress Centre
The Prague Congress Centre announces the international two rounds architectural urban design competition for the proposal of an extension to the Congress Centre, consisting of needed exhibition surfaces and of the creation of quality public spaces in the site of the Pankrác square and its surrounding areas.
PCB Organized Networking Meetings of Congress Ambassadors
Prague Convention Bureau organized two networking meetings within the Ambassador Program on Wednesday 7th December in the historical premises of Karolinum in Prague. Educational seminar “Why and how to bid for an international congress or conference in Prague” was followed by an informal Advent meeting of congress ambassadors and partners of the Prague Convention Bureau’s Ambassador Program. The educational seminar was led by an experienced congress ambassador professor Tesař - Head of the Nephrology Clinic of the 1st Medical Faculty of the Charles University and the General University Hospital in Prague.
PCB Team Presented MICE Opportunities of Prague to ibtm world Fair Visitors
From 29th November to 1st December, ibtm world fair was held in Barcelona, Spain. Prague Convention Bureau team (Roman Muška, Tzveta Morawski Kambourova, Barbora Skálová and Hana Krejbichová) presented MICE opportunities of Prague to the visitors at seven destination presentations and one-to-one meetings with hosted buyers.
From Prague to Berlin 28 times a week
Starting end of March 2017, airberlin will offer four flights daily (28 per week) from Berlin-Tegel to Prague. In so doing the airline will double the frequency of its services compared to the previous summer from two to four flights per day.
Prague Will Host the Congress of Congresses
PCB team together with the Local Host Committee representatives from among the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) members and supporters attended 55th ICCA Congress held in Kuching, Malaysia. Borneo Convention Centre Kuching hosted the event from 13th to 16th November, and it was also the place where Czech team took over the congress flag and organization of the 2017 Congress. Next year in November, MICE experts from all over the world will gather in Prague for 56th ICCA Congress.
