Václav Havel Airport Prague Operations Continue to Grow; Increased Passenger Numbers and Operated Destinations
As per the latest statistics, more than 132 thousand passengers passed through the gates of Václav Havel Airport Prague this May, representing a significant increase of over 1,500 percent compared to May 2020, when the operation of the airport was unprecedented due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the related restrictions on travel. Prague Airport handled 30% more passengers in May 2021 than in April this year.

Prague Became the European Forest City

Carriers Add Flights to More Destinations Effective June 2021
Departure boards are slowly filling up with more and more flights, while the terminals of Václav Havel Airport Prague welcome more and more passengers. During June 2021, direct flights from Prague to over 70 destinations, operated by thirty airlines, are offered to passengers. Low-cost carrier Ryanair will resume direct flights to up to twelve locations in the first half of the month, while Smartwings is to service additional seventeen places. Czech Airlines is adding connections to Malta, servicing a route which will be operated by Air Malta, too. Other airlines are also returning to Prague Airport with their offers. Iberia, Eurowings and Wizz Air are to shortly resume their flights.

On Wednesday, 26 May, one of the first hybrid events called "HYBRID – Prepare for the Return of Events" took place in the O2 universum complex in Vysočany. 40 guests participated in the event onsite, and another 90 remotely - online. Representatives of major companies and institutions across sectors presented their visions and opportunities, which they see in a hybrid model of cooperation.
