Prague will host the largest conference devoted to cryptocurrencies and blockchain
On May 19, the capital of the Czech Republic will host Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Prague – the event dedicated to the development of cryptocurrencies and blockchain. Prague Convention Bureau is a partner of the conference. Guests will meet supporters of a decentralized economy, successful blockchain developers and entrepreneurs and enjoy the exhibition of equipment for the industry.

Václav Havel Airport Prague Continues to Grow Investments of 27 Billion CZK Planned over Next Decade to Boost Development
Prague Airport has published its vision of the airport’s development over the next decade on the occasion of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the launch of its operations. Key strategic projects including the development of terminals and adjacent areas for aircraft, increases in the capacity of the runway system, changes to the public area in front of the terminal buildings and development plans for the greater airport area have been introduced. Implementation of the plans will allow the airport to handle 21 million passengers a year. Prague Airport plans to invest in the most important projects, namely extensions to Terminal 2 and the construction of a new parallel runway, about CZK 27 billion (1 billion EUR).

Conference INSPO in Prague Congress Centre was very successful
The 17th conference on information and communication technologies for people with specific needs took part on Saturday 25 March in Prague Congress Centre. One of the main topics was the Internet of Things. The organizer, BMI association noticed a big interest immediately after the registration was opened. At the beginning of March 400 participants had registered and the capacity of the event, which satisfied the visitors as well as the organizers, was full.
Prague Convention Bureau Attended 5th AIPCO Business Tourism Conference
From 23rd to 24th March, the 5th year of AIPCO (Association of Irish Professional Conference Organisers) Business Tourism Conference took place in Naas, Ireland. The event was attended by 200 professionals from the Irish PCOs, DMCs, CVBs, venues, hotels and service suppliers.
New Summer Schedule Offers 9 New Destinations and 154 Direct Scheduled Connections Worldwide
The summer schedule at Václav Havel Airport Prague came into effect on Sunday, 26 March 2017. In the upcoming season, which will last until 28 October 2017, 66 carriers will offer regular transport services at the airport with their aircraft headed to 154 destinations worldwide. Václav Havel Airport Prague will welcome 2 new carriers and Prague will be connected with a total of nine new destinations. More than 20 existing routes will witness service increases.
Educational seminar for representatives of Charles University was held at Karolinum
On Wednesday, March 22, 2017 the first seminar on "Why and how to run a candidacy for an international congress or conference in Prague" was held in the historical premises of the Small Auditorium of Karolinum, with the direct support of Charles University rector Prof. Tomas Zima.
In 2016, Czech Airlines transported 2.71 million passengers
In 2016, Czech Airlines transported a total of 2.71 million passengers and 8,813 tonnes of mail and shipments aboard its 17-aircraft fleet. 2.26 million passengers used Czech Airlines’ regular scheduled services, representing a year-on-year growth of nearly 13%. An additional 444 thousand passengers were transported by Czech Airlines’ aircraft for other carriers, to whom they leased aircraft.
